Georgia tackle adds Oregon State offer

Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen, running back coach Telly Lockette and cornerback coach Cory Hall all traveled to Georgia late last week for two camps in the state. Offers were also extended, including one to defensive tackle Jahmal Wynter who had high praise for Oregon State.

The 6-foot-2, 270 pound athlete attended the Minority Coaches Association of Georgia camp and wowed the Beavers coaches. He entered the camp with a lone offer from Eastern Kentucky and left with an offer from the Beavers.

"It (the offer) feels great," he said. "My mind is still blown, just going out and working hard and knowing that hard work got me this (offer) makes me feel really happy."

The McDonough (Georgia) Henry County prospect wants to visit Oregon State and is working to set that up, sooner rather than later.

"In the near future," he said when asked about when he planned to visit Oregon State. "I'm going to talk with my mom and coach to try and get a date together."

Wynter has a high football IQ and has size and athleticism that coaches look for. He has a solid frame that can also add weight and strength.

He wowed to keep BeaverBlitz updated on his recruitment and on when he schedules a visit to check out Oregon State.
