BeaversEdge.com is first to report that Fort Scott (Kansas) C.C. defensive tackle Jared Goldwire is taking an official visit to Oregon State this weekend.

The Beavers offered the 6-foot-6, 295-pound Louisville commitment on November 1, and Goldwire has been recruited hard by the OSU staff in the past two weeks.

Interim head coach Cory Hall and director of player personnel Vince Guinta have been leading the charge in recruiting Goldwire, as well as the other three JuCo defensive lineman that are visiting Oregon State this weekend.

Goldwire is a big time, near four-star prospect that also holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Arizona State, Colorado, Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and TCU.

With Oregon State ranking No. 11 in rush defense and No. 12 in sacks in the Pac-12 conference, the Beavers are making it a goal to target junior college defensive tackle prospects that can help the team out in 2018.
