Oregon State is having their Spring Football Game on Saturday, and there are five players that might emerge that had little or no roles on the field in 2016.
Every day this week leading up to Saturday's spring game, we'll give you a player that we're going to be watching closely.
No. 4 Hamilcar Rashed
As the injuries at outside linebacker mounted up in 2016, Beaver fans were calling on Rashed to get into the action but that didn't happen. The Oregon State coaches thought it was best to keep the redshirt on Rashed.
There were talks that Rashed might get his redshirt taken off around October, but the staff opted to burn Joah Robinett's redshirt instead.
Rashed was a near four-star prospect coming out of high school that chose Oregon State over Nebraska. He has already put on around 20 pounds since getting to Oregon State and stands at 6-foot-4, 233-pounds, according to OSU's official roster.
How has he been performing this spring? Gary Andersen mentioned Rashed, as well as our No. 5 player on this list, after practice last Thursday.
