Elite TE visiting OSU this weekend

The nation's third-ranked tight end as rated by Rivals.com will be in Corvallis this weekend. Hunter Bryant plans to take in the Beavers' Junior Day.

"I've been talking to them a little bit, definitely, so I'm going down this weekend," Bryant told BeaverBlitz.com late this week. "I'm definitely going with the mind of building a relationship with them."

The Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic tight end is a 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect who is now ranked the No. 144 player in the nation on the Rivals250 regardless of position.

Bryant's trip to Oregon State this weekend will not be his first time at the school.

He visited one summer previously for a four-day camp with his team, and that extended visit gave him a lot more insight and familiarity as relates to the program and the school.

"I really like the campus. It's really nice," he said. "It's a college setting. It's definitely a college town. That's really what I remember the feel being like.

"There's a senior at the school who's going to play baseball up there, Taylor Wright, and we had a football player up there, too," he said. "I know a good bit about it. I don't really know the coaches that well yet so I'm definitely going to start getting to know them a lot better this weekend."

Bryant is planning to unofficially visit Washington State in a few weeks, and when he has a 7-on-7 tournament in Los Angeles in the spring he will try to unofficially visit UCLA.
