Defensive Points + Giant Killer Award: Arizona

While it wasn't their best night statistically, the Beaver defense was able to make the stops when it counted against a high powered Arizona squad. Who took top honors this week? It wasn't even close as cornerback Rashaad Reynolds ran away with his second Giant Killer Award in three games.
Reynolds led the team in tackles with ten and added five pass break-ups and a key interception at the end of the game to give him 26.25 points this week. A record for the season.

It was a big day for the secondary. Fellow cornerback Jordan Poyer tallied the second most points, while safeties Ryan Murphy and Tyrequek Zimmerman also finished in the top five.
D.J. Welch earned MVP honors for the linebackers with five tackles and one tackle for loss. It was actually a fairly quiet night for the linebackers as a whole, but Rueben Robinson, Michael Doctor and Feti Taumoepeau added five total tackles as well.
For the second game in a row, defensive end Scott Crichton earned Defensive Line MVP honors with his three tackles, two sacks, and forced fumble.
Coach Joe Seumalo utilized a heavy rotation on the D-line because of the Wildcats up-tempo offense and the heat. Dylan Wynn, Castro Masaniai, Andrew Seumalo, Rusty Fernando, Devon Kell, John Braun, Joe Lopez, and Rudolf Fifita all added 12 tackles for the Beaver defense.
