Could QB Weston Eget land an offer from Oregon State?

Oregon State is looking for a quarterback commitment in the class of 2019, and Santa Clarita (Calif.) West Ranch three-star passer Weston Eget is a prospect the Beavers are keeping a close eye on.

Eget was in Corvallis over the weekend for a visit that included taking in OSU's prospect camp on Sunday.

"It was eye opening," Eget said of his time in Corvallis. "I was able to see all of their high tech facilities and take a walk to see Reser Stadium from the tunnel and field point of view. My favorite part of the visit was going down to the field level after leaving the locker room and seeing the amazing stadium all around me.

"Being able to see the campus was an amazing experience. The beautiful scenery around the city and awesome facilities makes Corvallis feel like home."

The camp itself was a great experience for the 6-foot-2, 193-pounder as he worked with the Oregon State coaching staff.

"The camp was awesome," he said. "It was extremely well organized, and I had a lot of fun and got to be competitive. My favorite part about it had to have been doing the half field skelly against the defense. Being able to get feedback and learn from coach [Brian] Lindgren was a great experience that definitely I look forward to in the future."

Eget currently has offers from Sacramento State and San Jose State. Oregon State, Arizona State, Georgia, and UTEP are showing increased interest and could offer next.

Eget was able to talk with the OSU staff about where he stands with them and a potential offer.

"Yes I sat down with coach [Jonathan] Smith and talked about the situation, and a potential future offer did come up in the conversation," Eget said.

"My recruiting has been a blessing, being able to talk to all of these schools is purely God’s work," Eget added.
