The Oregon State Women's Basketball program had a big day on Wednesday as they added three new ladies to the program.
Junior college center Joanna Grymek, originally from Poland, signed her Letter of Intent to become a Beaver. She narrowed her list down to Kansas, UTEP, and OSU before picking the Beavers on October 13.
ESPN four-star point guard Aleah Goodman is also officially a Beaver. She picked the Beavers over other offers from Arizona, Washington, New Mexico, Montana State, Boise State, Fresno State, Weber State, and others.
"I chose Oregon State because of my relationship with the coaches and players," Goodman told BeaversEdge.com. "I know that in going to OSU I will be pushed both academically and athletically. The location is great; my friends and family will be able to come watch me."
Last but certainly not least, Oregon State landed a signature from five-star forward Taya Corosdale, who is the blue chip recruit of the class. ESPN ranks her as the No. 27 overall 2017 recruit in the country and chose the Beavs over other offers from Washington, Oregon, UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, Cal, San Diego State, Colorado, Georgia Tech, USC, and Minnesota.
"I'm honestly so happy and blessed to a part of this is school and program," Corosdale told BeaversEdge.com. "To be a part of a successful and close program is something I wanted. They have such a tight relationship between the players and coaches, and that was exactly what I was looking for. Oregon State had both of those components plus more."
Corosdale's relationship with the Oregon State staff was a big factor in her choosing the Beavers.
"I think my relationship [with them] is pretty close," she said. "I went to team camp at OSU when I was going into my sophomore year, and ever since we've communicated and gotten to know each other - not only with me but with my family and their families. Oregon State was actually my first offer, so I think that's something very special."
She took her official visit to Oregon State in late September and verbally committed a few days later.
"The campus is gorgeous, especially in the fall," Corosdale said. " I just went down for their first exhibition game. My visits were so fun and everyone was so welcoming and kind."
The five-star recruit will bring an instant impact for the Beavers.
"I think although they lost some key players, they're still going to be successful, if not even more because they have motivation and the hard work aspects to get back to the top," said Corosdale. "I think I can bring impacts on both the offensive and defensive side, a positive attitude, and my ability to get better."
