CB Jaden Robinson adds to Oregon State's commit list

The Beavers have been absolutely rolling lately, landing ten new commitments since January 27.

The latest pledge is from Auburn (Wash.) Riverside cornerback Jaden Robinson, coming on Sunday after his Oregon State official visit.

"I love the football town," Robinson told BeaversEdge.com on Sunday. "The coaching staff really made me feel welcomed. I vibed with everyone really well, and I just feel as if I can really grow and be something here."

Robinson was very impressed with what the Oregon State staff showed him on the visit.

"Some of the highlights of the visit was the food and the coaching staff -- just getting to know me and being able to relate where I came from," said Robinson. "I enjoyed everything the people, culture, and just it being a football town. It really made me feel welcomed and important."

Coming into the weekend, it was expected that Robinson would land an offer from the Beavers, and he earned that on Saturday afternoon.

"Coach [Jonathan] Smith offered me in his office around my family, and when he said 'You have a full ride scholarship to this University,' my parents just started balling with tears, and I was just in shock," Robinson said. "I didn't have any words to say besides thank you, it means a lot to me that you would give me this opportunity."

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect as certainly an under-the-radar recruit with his only other offers being from Idaho and Portland State, but Robinson has excellent size and versatility. He is a developmental recruit that can thrive at Oregon State.

Robinson joins DeShon Wilson as OSU's cornerback commits in the 2018 recruiting class.
