Corvallis (Ore.) offensive tackle Marco Brewer has been a long list of scholarship offers that include Boise State, Nevada, UCLA, Utah State, Washington State, and others.

However, he did not have an offer from the local Oregon State Beavers. That changed on Sunday after a camp on Oregon State's campus.

Brewer detailed the offer with BeaversEdge.com.

"At the Northwest Best [camp] they were asking if I was going to their camp and said how I'd be really happy after the camp," Brewer said. "They told my mom that we'd be really happy after the camp. At the camp, I did my thing as usual. I don't know if my performance that day necessarily affected it.

"I would do a rep, and coach TJ [Woods] would tell me to fix this, and I would fix it. He said that he liked that a lot about me. I think they were going to pull the trigger regardless of the camp though."

Brewer and his family were pumped up to receive the OSU offer.

"Definitely. It's another goal accomplished," he said. "I've been at all of their games since I was like six. The fact that having a team that I grew up watching and now I can possibly play for is pretty cool. My family was excited. We're all Beaver fans."

Brewer grew up in Corvallis, and as he mentioned, is a Beaver fan. He is considering leaving Corvallis for college, but he admits that there are benefits to staying close to home.
