1. SETH COLLINS, SO, WIDE RECEIVER

Last year's quarterback who planned to transfer after last season has decided to return to Oregon State for his sophomore campaign as a wide receiver. Watching Collins as a quarterback (much of the 2015 season) and then as a utility player in the Civil War, it was very obvious where his talents help the team most. His athleticism is huge and the ability for him to take the direct snap in the wildcat, run the fly sweep or catch a pass and make plays in space, give the Beavers several ways to utilize Collins as a weapon.

Collins is a fiery player and he will need to keep his emotions in check, however in a utility role, it isn't as crucial than keeping your cool as a quarterback. The emotion can be used to motivate teammates around him too.

2. DARELL GARRETSON, JR, QUARTERBACK

No quarterback controversies this season, Darell Garretson is the leader of the offense and will be called upon to get the offense ready. Garretson has the advantage of working with offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Kevin McGiven when both were at Utah State, so he knows the offense and has had a year to get on the same page with the Oregon State receivers and offensive line.

3. YANNI DEMOGERONTAS, SO, CENTER

The Beavers have had the luxury of a steady center over the past several years with Isaac Seumalo and Josh Mitchell sharing responsibilities. Sophomore Yanni Demogerontas in currently top of the depth chart at center, one of the most under-appreciated positions on the field. If Demogerontas is successful, it means that you most likely won't be seeing his name in the headlines. Hopefully he and Garretson have worked a lot together during the off-season to perfect the snap.

4. PAUL LUCAS, SO, RUNNING BACK/WIDE RECEIVER

Is he a wide receiver or is he a running back? Paul Lucas saw playing time as a true freshman last year, but now that he has a year under his belt and knows the speed of the game, look for big things from the speedster. No matter where he lines up, the opponents will need to respect his speed.

5. TRENT MOORE, SO, OFFENSIVE LINEMAN

Moore has done all that has been asked of him in the weight room and training tables and has caught the eyes of the coaching staff. The redshirt sophomore is currently in the three-deep at center and is listed as the back-up at right tackle behind senior Dustin Stanton. Depending on fall camp and the health of those in front of him, Moore could have a breakout campaign this year on the line.
