BREAKING: Oregon State Lands 2022 Homegrown OL Jacob Strand

FREE TRIAL: BeaversEdge Premium Access Until Aug. 10, 2021, with code VISITS2021

Oregon State and head coach Jonathan Smith picked up their seventh commitment of the 2022 class on Tuesday afternoon in homegrown offensive lineman Jacob Strand.

The Canby, Ore. native chose Oregon State over Air Force and joins wide receiver Cole Prusia (Tualatin) as the current Oregonians in the class.

At 6-foot-5, 250-pounds, Strand figures to slot into one of the tackle spots, but we're hearing that the Beavers also see potential in him at the tight end position due to how well he can move with his size.

Strand joins a 2022 class that features four-star linebacker Melvin Jordan, running back Damien Martinez, center Dylan Lopez, quarterback Travis Throckmorton, defensive back Carlos Mack, and Prusia.
