Oregon State defensive back coach Blue Adams has made it clear that he enjoys developing junior college safeties and corners, and now has another talented prospect ready to be under his wing.
After picking up his offer less than two weeks ago and officially visiting Oregon State last weekend, Trinity Valley C.C. safety Ian Massey has made his pledge to the Beavers.
He announced his decision on Tuesday via Twitter.
There are many reasons why Massey quickly fell in love with Oregon State.
"I like college town atmosphere at Oregon State, the commitment to excellence, and there is a culture at the school that is infectious," said Massey in a previous interview with BeaversEdge. "Scheme and where I fit in the defense is also key, and having a coach with a reputation for sending DB's to the NFL is too, and that’s why I’m so comfortable with Coach Blue.”
Not only does Massey love it, but his mother does too.
"My mom is ready to move up there," Massey told BeaversEdge. "She is retiring in a few years and is already saying that she would move there. She is already ready to invite them over to the house and send some barbecue up there to Oregon."
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound All-American safety comes in as a member of the class of 2021, and will have four years to play three seasons.
