Beavs offer 2018 quarterback

The Oregon State coaches aren't just out on the road evaluating and offering prospects in the 2017 class, they are looking into the 2018 and 2019 years as well. Coach McGiven was recently in Covina, California where he offered 6-foot-2, 180 pound quarterback Steven Comstock from Northview High School.

"I'm very excited (about the Oregon State offer), it's a great school," Comstock told BeaverBlitz.com shortly after receiving the offer. "I can't wait to get out to the campus and create a relationship with the coaches and players."

This is Comstock's second offer, the first coming from Idaho a week ago.

Comstock started at quarterback for Northview as a freshman. During his sophomore season he threw for 2,698 yards, rushed for 1,054 yards and scored 50 touchdowns.

While he will only be a junior this coming fall, Comstock is already hoping to get to Corvallis, possibly as early as this summer for one of the Beavers camps in June.

"I think we will be attending (one of the OSU camps)," he said. "I need to check with my parents."
