Beavs land JUCO OL/DL

With the recent retirement of two veteran offensive linemen, Coach Gary Andersen didn't waste any time in looking for a replacement to help bolster depth up front. This weekend the Beavers hosted Leo Fuimaono from Los Angeles Harbor College, who liked what he saw.
The 6-foot-3, 285 pound two-way lineman was set to visit Texas Tech this week and make his decision, however he saw enough at Oregon State and decided to shut down his recruitment Monday morning by signing a letter of intent to play at Oregon State.

"It was just the whole environment and I just felt like it was the best fit for me academically and from a football standpoint," Fuimaono told BeaverBlitz. "And the people over there are similar to the people back home so it wasn't hard interacting with everyone. I was just welcomed with open arms by everyone I met throughout the trip."
Oregon State has been recruiting Fuimaono to play on the offensive line. He has his AA degree in hand and is set to arrive this summer in Corvallis. He will have three years to play two. The three-star prospect held several offers and chose Oregon State over offers from Utah, Colorado State, BYU and others.
