Clay Cordasco commits to Oregon State over Texas Tech

The Beavs added a massive offensive lineman on Saturday evening as Clay Cordasco committed to OSU. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder is originally from Maine but played his junior college ball Los Angeles Valley Community College.

Cordasco chose Oregon State over Nevada and Texas Tech. He officially visited Texas Tech last weekend.

He will come to Corvallis as a true junior (three years to play two) and plays with an absolute mean streak. Cordasco's recruitment didn't heat up until January; his film indicates that schools should've been on him much earlier.

Cordasco joins Justin Sattelmaier as junior college offensive lineman commits for the Beavers. The Beavs also have high school offensive lineman commits in Onesimus Lutu-Clarke, Brock Wellsfry, and Travis Mackay.

Texas RB jumps on board with OSU

Running back B.J. Baylor also committed to Oregon State on Saturday and both recruits made their pledge during their weekend official visit.

Baylor is an under the radar recruit that was offered by OSU during the official visit. His other offers came from Texas Southern, Southeastern Oklahoma State, and Howard.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder probably won't ever be an all-Pac-12 Conference back, but he shows the ability to catch out of the backfield and has good moves in the open field. It's clear why the OSU staff sees him worthy for a scholarship at Oregon State.

The Beavs lost commitments from Isaiah Miller and TJ Green at the RB spot in the 2017 class, but are set to sign Baylor and Calvin Tyler as their 2017 backs.

Oregon State has 23 commitments in the class of 2017

Who else will Oregon State land leading up to National Signing Day. The BeaversEdge Forecast provides an update on where OSU stands with their top recruits.

Will Trajon Cotton commit to Oregon State on Sunday? Can the Beavs land another big time offensive lineman from the junior college ranks in George Moore?

Stay tuned, Beaver fans.
