Beavers add late piece of 2018 class in I'Shawn Stewart

After the February Signing Day, the Beavers still had room for another recruit or two in the 2018 class. OSU only signed one receiver prospect (Jesiah Irish) and looked for another.

Bolingbrook (Ill.) playmaker I'Shawn Stewart fell through the cracks, and the three-star wide receier officially visited Oregon State this week. He arrived in Corvallis on Thursday night and committed before he left campus on Saturday.

"It's been the school I have been looking for with the passing game," Stewart told BeaversEdge.com about why he chose Oregon State. "The environment of the campus just made everything better."

Stewart obviously enjoyed what Oregon State had to offer him as a student athlete while on his visit.

"We visited around campus and saw the atmosphere of [Corvallis]," he said. "It was nice seeing how things work with practices and got a feel of what the coaches have planned for the future."

During the recruiting process, Stewart held offers from the likes of Syracuse, Illinois, Iowa, Toledo, and others.

Stewart had a relationship with Tim Tibesar when Tibesar was coaching at Wisconsin.

Stewart graduated high school in December and will enroll at OSU in time for spring ball.
