Recruiting and commitments are coming down the home stretch for the Class of 2013, and that means it's high school all-star game time. Many of Oregon State's top remaining targets will be playing tonight in the second annual Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Carson, California.
Those who follow Oregon State recruiting will see the West Roster filled with familiar names, however a handful of those players are still very much in the mix to become part of the Beavers 2013 class.
Leading the list is four-star offensive lineman Brayden Kearsley from Aloha (Ore.) Aloha. The 6-foot-5, 295 pound tackle is currently committed to BYU, however he has opened up his recruitment and currently lists Oregon State as his leader. He plans to make his announcement on January 23, 2013.
Another offensive tackle, Sean Harlow, a 6-foot-5, 260 pound three-star from San Clemente (Calif.) San Clemente will also be showcasing his skills in tonight's game. Harlow has visited Corvallis several times and is currently committed to the University of Washington.
He's stated recently that his heart is with Oregon State while his head is with the Huskies. Will the Beavers be able to sway him to the orange and black?
Another prospect who is reportedly a strong Washington lean is wide receiver John Ross. The 5-foot-9, 165 pound speedster is one of Coach Brennan's top targets to replace Markus Wheaton. Will Ross make an announcement tonight at the game or keep his recruitment open?
L.J. Moore is another big-time Oregon State prospect who this week named the Beavers and ASU as his two leaders. The four-star defensive back prospect out of Fresno, California also has received plenty of attention from the likes of Oklahoma and Notre Dame.
Linebacker Keishawn Bierria from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne has been coy about his recruitment. He lists the Beavers as his current leader. He told Rivals.com earlier in the week that he may have a surprise or two up his sleeve we'll have to see what that means.
Other prospects participating in the game with Oregon State interest include: Austin Hooper, Lowell Lotulelei and Thomas Oser.
The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl airs tonight at 6:00 pm PST on the NFL Network.
