A tune-up week would have been hugely helpful for the Beavers, but I still think that Oregon State matches up well against the Badgers. Oregon State will need to stop Monte Ball or at least contain him as much as possible. If the defensive front is able to push him outside, that gives the Beavers a chance with Donell Welch and Michael Doctor.
Offensively, I think we see an 'air show' with Sean Mannion going vertical to Brandin Cooks and Markus Wheaton. I'm going with the upset.

This game feels like it could go either way. The Badgers looked unimpressive last week against a lower level team and lost a lot of starters from the prior year. But the Beavers haven't played yet and watching Pitt vs. Cincinnati on Thursday night brought back bad memories of a poorly functioning early season pro set offense.
Wisconsin is coming off two straight Rose Bowl trips. The Beavers are coming off two straight losing seasons. Home game helps the Beavs, time change hurts the Badgers. It's going to be a tight game I believe, but until Riley shows he can get his team playing at a high level early on, I'm going with the favorite.

It remains to be seen if heading into week two without a warm up game vs. Nicholls St. will hurt or help the Beavers. Paper says OSU should hold the advantage through the air and have a tough task stopping the Wisconsin run game. If OSU can muster a run game with Woods and Agnew I feel they will win and win easily. If OSU struggles to run the ball and forces Mannion to pass 30+ times it could be a long day inside Reser. I think the Beaver-D shows the speed and contains Ball and keeps him right at 100 yards. It's a great day in Corvallis as OSU knocks off #13 Wisconsin

The Oregon State offensive line keeps the pressure off of Mannion.
