New talent begins to mesh, helps close out Elon

WVSports.com MORGANTOWN-The Bob Huggins Era began year two Saturday night with a 92-47 stomping against Elon. An NBA-quality intro with a packed student section highlighted the contests. Students began to fill the arena at 5:15, according to the head coach, and helped push the attendance over 10,000 for only the second time in Mountaineer basketball during November.
"I want this to be-if not the premier program in the country-at least one of the premier programs in the country," said Huggins. "The premier programs-the ones that stay there-have tremendous support and its great to have a turnout like that. The fans make it fun for us."
