Five Keys to Victory: Texas

BeaverBlitz.com What must Oregon State do to beat Texas in the Alamo Bowl on December 29 in San Antonio? Here are five things:
1. Stop the run and make Texas one-dimensional on offense: If there is one theme running through the four losses for Texas this season, the connection between the lack of a ground game and lack of success on the scoreboard jumps to the forefront. The Longhorns have failed to reach 100 yards rushing in three of their four setbacks, including 86 yards and 99 yards against TCU and Kansas State, respectively, in the final two games.
In fact, the four losses mark the four lowest single game rushing totals for the Longhorns this season. The most yards they've rushed for in a loss is 135, while the fewest yards they've gained on the ground in victory is 136 against Oklahoma State.
