The merry-go-round at quarterback for the Beavers continues with Sean Mannion, who has barely played the past two games and the equivalent of 3-1/2 quarters in the last five, gets the start instead of the injured Cody Vaz. But the identity of OSU's quarterback shouldn't matter all that much against a California defense ranked 71st or worse nationally in all four major statistical categories, including 86th or worse in scoring defense, total defense and pass defense. Defensively, Oregon State will focus on stopping the run because that's what the Golden Bears do best, and the Beavers just happen to possess one of the top rushing defenses in the country. The Beavers are playing for bowl position and still have an outside shot at the Rose Bowl. Beavers should roll at Reser Stadium in what could be Jeff Tedford's final game as Cal head coach.
