Arizona State and Oregon State have a few things in common as they prepare to square off Saturday night (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.) at Reser Stadium in a key Pac-12 contest for both teams.

Both teams are coming off frustrating conference losses in which they had a chance to prevail in the closing minutes, but fell short in the end.

The Beavers appeared to have a promising driving going in the final minute of last Saturday's 20-17 loss at Washington when they reached the UW 38. But that was as far as they would go and OSU never attempted a potential game-tying field goal.
