Army target is planning to visit

Derek Hasanoglu is looking forward to making a visit to Army and has targeted October as the month that he will make his way to the Northeast.

The 6-foot-3, 185 quarterback, who is out of Mukwonago, (Wisc.) Mukwonago High School is a dual threat quarterback who gets more satisfaction out of running the ball than he does passing it.

"We run an option offense," states Hasanoglu. "We run about 70/30 … run to pass."

Last season saw the Wisconsin prospect rush for approximately 880 yards that netted 12 touchdown, along 580 yards in the air for one touchdown.

For Hasanoglu, he has already made it clear to GoBlackKnights.com that his top two teams are Army and Wisconsin.

Although many prospects declare that education is their primary factor when deciding on a school … for Hasanoglu it's a way of life. "My brother went to Vanderbilt and education is key for my family," confirms Hasanoglu, who maintains a 3.4 GPA.

In addition to football, he also excels in basketball, where he plays the wing and track. His 6'9" high jump best is impressive as well as his 21.10 ¾ in the long jump.

Hasanoglu claims that his average in the forty is 4.6.

His recruiting is being handled by special team coach, Joe Ross.

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow Hasanoglu's recruiting throughout the balance of the summer and into his senior season.
